September 2002
I'm a killer
Well, it happened again. As soon as I gave a link to the Gamingforce
site and said it was back up, it shut down all of a sudden. I'm so
sick of this happening. Whenever I discover a good site, they're always
on the brink of disappearing, or they're about to go subscription, and that's
just as good as disappearing because I haven't yet seen a site that I want
to see so bad that I'll pay for it. It's like my eyes kill the site
or something. Sight kills site, har har har. Now, like I said
before, I don't mind a subscription program as long as the only content that
requires subscription is new stuff that wasn't free before, but personally
I haven't found anything that's worth it for me. On the Gamingforce
forums they're saying they'll be back but without the MP3s to download, but
they say it's okay because there's always the FTPs, but I can't seem to find
these mythical FTPs anywhere. Oh well... I guess I really don't need
to download any game music MP3s because it's probably against some kind of
intellectual property law or something, even though I only get the soundtracks
for games I own. When's someone going to come out with a program that
can play synthesized music in its original format, anyway? I'll have
to see if someone's working on one.
Looking back
I didn't really say anything about September 11th last year. The last
day I wrote anything was a few days before that, when I wrote that really
pointless entry about how so few people were responding to some of my equally
pointless August entries, but when that terrorist attack happened, I saw
how dumb and, I'll say it again, pointless, I was being with everything.
I just couldn't bring myself to say anything more. All the sympathy
I felt had been expressed by other people more intelligently and eloquently
than anything I could ever say.
