Campsite - Fiesta Key After our stay on Key Largo we headed down the Keys.  We needed a place to stay one night and the only place we could find was the Fiesta Key KOA where the camp sites were the size of postage stamps.  At least they were farther than 22 feet from the highway. We rented an "Intimida Sherpa" so that we'd have enough room to haul all of our camping gear.

We spent a day at Everglades National Park watching the wildlife.  We were both totally amazed at the concentration of wildlife in the park. This photo was taken while at the Royal Palm Visitor Center where the Anhinga Trails' elevated walkway allows you to explore the sensitive Everglades ecosystem.  Visit the Everglades National Park Web site here Great White Egret
Everglades aligators We came across an incredible sight in the Everglades.  Alligators laying around in the shallows and swimming in the water.  There was an endless litany of birds; Great White Egret, Purple Gallinule, Common Gallinule, Great Blue Heron, Wood Stork, Green Heron, Coot, Anhinga, Cormorant, etc.  See the Everglades birds checklist.
