I read this: How to do monogamous marriage while embracing your bisexual identity?
The bi community appears to be divided into three groups:
Personally I say to each their own if it works for them and if all parties agree on what's going on. In my own life I'm not at all interested in the poly lifestyle. For me and my relationship, cheating is cheating.
I also read this: My take on Biphobia
I think that a good chunk of biphobia on both sides (straight and queer) may stem from folks just not understanding that one can fall into one of the three above categories above and still really, for real, be bisexual. That whole, "oh yeah I went through a bi phase too before I decided I was gay/lesbian" thing grates on my nerves. Bully for you, but I'm still into chicks and dudes.
Can the "B's" truly be a part of the community alongside the "G's," "L's," and "T's?" I think so, but we're always going to be dealing with prejudice from within and without and just have to address it one case at a time.
I'm not going anywhere with this.
