Introducing Eric and Katie Gaffy.
September 1st. It was good to be back in Minnesota this summer. These are the types of friends that make it good to be back. It was wonderful to spend time with them and quite an honor to see these two wed. If I had to make a toast to my friends it would be this: That they have been together longer than any other couple I know yet unwed (now that distinction falls to me.) I don't feel any fears for Eric and Katie's future. Eric and Katie are wonderfully open to each other, they share in each others friends and feelings. Since I have known them, they have always been one in my mind. It pains me to be here in Oregon and miss out on so much of the lives of these fine people--Eric, Katie and all my friends from college years. I don't hope that you will do well and be happy together. I know it, because you have shown me. My hope is that I get to be near while your lives unfold. That the love, honesty and frindship that I see amongst all these friends is one that will guide all my own relationships. Its inevitable that times won't always be so smooth for the Gaffy's. But I am here to be of support and comfort when needed. Everyone that shares and feels heartened by your joy is your support. And you are both loved..by a tremendous group of friends and relatives. So here is to you, The Gaffy's!
Bringing more than one camera with you makes you look pretty skilled. Take over 100 pictures and you are bound to get 4 that are impressive. Often though I get a roll that just makes me groan. These are the ones that give the character of the day and the people involved. Click on an image to reveal a larger image of the same.
