It looks like spring is knocking on the door. Are your planes ready? Flight box? Batteries? Old gas out of the gas cans? Fresh gas and fuel? Have you sent your radios in for a check up? I send mine in every two years. How are the batteries in the plane? Two years old? RECYCLE. Check and recheck every nut and bolt? Hinges? Check everything that moves, and things that shouldn't move. Twice over for a new plane. Sunscreen, water bottles, first aid kit, garbage bags for the things that shouldn't move, but did. Don't forget to contact our Crash Director.
A new member in the club, Zack Geragi, has soloed. He had two flights on a Astro Hog with me, and many hours on the computer. On Sunday Darren, Kevin and Zack went to a lake to fly. Zack flew his trainer, then Darren's seaplane, and then Darren told him to fly the TWIST. Zack SOLOED on the TWIST. Great job guys. It is so much easier to train a person who has been flying on the computer. There are saving in broken planes and broken pride, and the person is more likely to stay in the hobby. I was sorry I couldn't be there; I was in Iowa picking up a plane.
Well that is all for now. See you at the field.
