SEPTEMBER FUN FLY
It was another good day in the neighborhood as Mister Rogers use to say. There were 11 pilots that participated in this month's fun fly. The weather was perfect; light wind from the southwest and temperature in the 60's with a high sky. What else has to be said except what a day to fly.
Once again, there were 3 events. They were high-speed pass downwind and slow speed upwind pass over the runway. We then subtracted the time and the greatest difference won. The winner of that event was Jeff Flander with a difference of 10.56 seconds.
The second event was the shortest time to, takeoff, do 3 loops, 3 rolls and 3 stall turns and land. The winner of this event was Kevin Carlson.
Third and last event was 30 second climb and glide and land on field. If you landed on the runway you received a 5 second bonus. The winner of this event was Stan Zdon.
The over all winner of this months Fun Fly was Kevin Carlson, nice going Kevin.
1.) Kevin Carlson 2.) Stan Zdon 3.) Mike Flanders 4.) Marc Davis 5.) Erik Castrodale 6.) Jeff Flanders 7.) Al Spearbecker 8.) Bob Nagle 9.) Andy Noll 10.) Dale Anderson
Weather permitting the next fun fly will be held Saturday October 20, 2007 at 10 AM. The flight line will be open at 9 AM for trim flights. An email will be sent out if the weather looks like it won't cooperate. Bob Nagle

MEMBERSHIP NEWS OCTOBER 2007
At the membership meeting in October ACRC will be taking nominations for board members for 2007/2008. Four positions will have to be filled. The two-year terms of Dan Stahn, Al Spearbecker, Jake Groetsch and Stan Zdon are ending. Start thinking of who would be a good board member and come to the October meeting and nominate them. If you check with them first to see if they will accept the nomination it will make the process proceed more smoothly. You might even consider nominating yourself. ACRC needs members who are willing to help run the club. You cannot just wait for the next guy to do the work while you just fly. Ask not what ACRC can do for you, but rather what can you do for ACRC. Even you can be a FBM. (F------ Board Member) The election is in November and the new board takes over in December.
MAAC SWAP MEET - The MAAC swap meet will be January 19 at the B-Dale Club located at 2100 North Dale Street. This is 1/2 mile south of Hwy 36 on Dale. Buying or Selling, admission is $4.00. More info will be published in future newsletters.
Weather permitting; the last fun-fly for 2006 will be on Saturday, October 20.
THE NEXT MEETING WILL BE AT RIVERWIND ON OCTOBER 18 AT 7:00 PM.
