Three trips to the Oregon Coast in July.
After being Eugene bound for a great deal of time, we ventured out plenty this July.
This is our first trip while we were still taking care of a house and Stella the dalmation. That dog was quite a handful, she spent time dragging both Laura and I around on that beach.
This is our second trip...I was scouting for the trip I had to arrange the next weekend. Laura and I went to see Aalvar Aalto's library at Mt. Angel and went to visit Ali in Portland. The photo at right is taken from Cape Perpetua, high above the Oregon Coast. When we sent this to my father he recognized it from the cover of his US atlas. We also stopped at Yaquina head and Heceta head lighthouses. At the end we had enough time to drop by our favorite swimming hole, Cleawox lake.
Yaquina Head lighthouse
Old photos of Cleawox lake. Its on the edge of the dunes area south of Florence. The dunes that are all around dip down right into the lake. Its very serene.
