Option III students at the Coast.
For my summer job, this was the second of two organized trips. Most people made the bus in the morning and it went mostly according to schedule.
The first stop was at the Oregon coast aquarium in Newport. They have a big exhibit on jellyfish there. The jellyfish are so beautiful to me. Then of course there are all kinds of children around and a lot of cool stuff for them to see and do. Its fun to watch the kids. And I like to play in these little pools too.
Above are a couple shots of Yaquina Head lighthouse. Though they refused to let us eat lunch there, there was a lot to visit there, I saw my first whale (a grey). And at low tide there are a couple sets of tide pools to see.
The other major lighthouse still on the coast is Heceta Head. Its in all the really kitchy pictures of the Oregon coast. I took a little tour, but they don't let you go up to the Bezel, that top glass part. The last leg of the journey was dinner at a professor's house, followed by frolicking on the beach. A bunch of folks played croquet and others (below) ultimate frisbee.
