Mrs Julia Brown, an early resident of Rich Valley, died at the home of her
daughter, Mrs James McGill in St. Paul, on Thursday from Senile Debility, after
a protracted illness. She went there in September upon a visit, was taken ill,
and has been there since. Miss Julia Egan was born in Queens County Ireland
August 15, 1822 coming to America at an early age, and was married to Mr. Elezar
Brown at Inver Grove in 1854. Shortly afterward they went to live upon a farm
in Rich Valley. Mr. Brown died November 14, 1889. She leaves a son and three
daughters, Thomas F. of Rich Valley, Mrs James McGill of St. Paul, Mrs Joseph
Beck of Austin and Mrs. J.E. Rowe of Pine Bend. There are 19 grandchildren,
Thomas Egan of Emmetsburg Iowa is a brother. The funeral will be held from St.
Patrick's Church Inver Grove today at 10 AM the Rev Matthew Sampson officiating.

Mr. Eleazor Brown of Rosemount died at his residence near Spring Lake last
Saturday might of inflammation of the liver after a nine day illness, in the
eightieth year of his age. He was borne in Maine, and resided for a time in the
early years at Cottage Grove, from there removed to Rosemount where he lived
during the past thirty-five years. He was held in high esteem, and leaves a
wide circle of friends to mourn his demise. A wife, one son, Thomas F. and
three married daughters, Mrs. James McGill, and Mrs Joseph Beck of St. Paul, Mrs
J.E. Rowe Pine Bend survive him. The funeral was held Monday morning from St.
Patrick's Church in Inver Grove and the remains interred in the cemetery there.
